THE NATIVE MAN

the-native-man

WRITTEN BY NZEH UCHE

I, a ready seed
Journey to the womb a choice
Not necessity

I as a baby
Greenhorn to human’s nature
Innocence in view

I as a sweet kid
Happiness having no bound
Jolly as the rains

I as a nice teen
Addition and subtraction
True curiosity

I as a boyfriend
Knowing gender differences
Gateway to knowledge

I as an adult
Real responsibilities
Hands to toil for mouth

I as a husband
Affection and care so sure
Radiating true love

I as a father
Charity begins at home
Teaching true morals

I as a grandpa
Age not being on my side
Life’s run to countdown

I as decaying
Legend or not am no more
Life is vanity.
